Waffle Shoppe in Panama City

Service. Never received. Was seated after a 30 minute wait. Once seated received coffee. We placed our order then waited an additional 30 minutes. Had not received food. Waitress later came to ask us if we would move because a party came in and complained that they wanted that particular seating. Yes!! The party was white. We are Black. The waitress asked us to move. Like during slavery when BlACK people had to sit in the back of the bus. Or Black people couldn't drink from the same water fountain. Unbelievable!!! We waited for service like everyone else. To move us. Because another party didn't want to wait. We chose to leave. What a disgrace.

I'm going to miss this place. They had some of the best food in Panama City. After hurricane Michael wrecked our collective feces, they decided not to reopen last I'd heard.The people that worked there were like family and they always welcomed us with a smile.

I had one of the best omelets of my life here the other day! Fluffy and filled with spinach, mushrooms, and feta cheese. And their coffee is delicious - you don't need to add anything to it.

Me and my boyfriend are regulars here. Every time we walk in they already know our order by heart. Great service, everyone is very friendly. Their hobo meal is the GOAT. I highly recommend this place.

Definitely recommend this place. I like it better than Waffle House because they offer dinner options too. My family always stops here on the way home back to Georgia. They know how to get you in quick fill you up & they are nice at it!

The food was good and staff was nice.

The building itself is setup like a Waffle House. The ladies were nice, the service was quick, it was very clean, but the waffles tasted like cardboard. The scrambled cheese eggs were delicious. Hopefully my experience was a rarity, but if it wasn't than I hope they will learn how to make fluffier more tasteful waffles.

I'm a regular here I get the country fried steak dinner. Love everything about this spot. Good southern cooking and hospitality.

Their food is great! Their cooks are fabulous! Their waitresses though, for the most part, seem like they hate their jobs and you have to flag them down every time you want something. I keep coming back all the time over the last few years because I love their grilled cheese specifically and it’s close to my job but I’m going to go ahead and assume the management of Waffle Shoppe needs to step up their game and pay their servers more or train them better if 80% of the waitresses are that apathetic about their duties.

I go regular to eat there and he server Erica is always smiling and nice. No matter how busy she always stays calm and does a great job. All the regulars she knows what we drink and brings it shortly to the table.

Best Place to eat for me on 23rd St. in Panama City, FL I love their Non Omelets , however they do everything from eggs to waffles steaks, fish and Oh so much more. Susan, Colin, Jennifer and Amy will all make you feel at home . Ask about their "Arnold Palmers" so good on top of a mountain of ice. Children are welcomed and fussed over just like family would do. Both tables and booth's are available. Come relax, and enjoy. You will be glad you did. See you there! Take out available just give 'em a call.

Staff very nice. I had steak and eggs, was the worst steak I've ever tried too eat. It taste like it was drop in water and cooked. No flavor at all. Too bad the staff didnt have policy to try to rectified the issue. It would of been nice

Service was disappointing. During a hour and half visit our coffee cups were only filled once and only because we eventually flagged down our waitress interrupting her multiple conversations with other waitresses a scant 3 feet from our empty cups. We waited 40+ minutes for our order even though the restaurant was far less busy than is typical (about 75%) of tables occupied.

We love this place! The food is always good and hot and we've not had better service anywhere!! The girls always go above and beyond to make us feel like part of the family.

The greeter and waitress were friendly. Our waitress was able to recommend items. The food was okay. The staff clustered around each other behind the counter and gave a loud exchange about a cutomer that just left that didn't leave a tip. Sure it's a fun place to work, however such a verbal exchange by staff makes for an awkward dinning experience.

Best Waffle House knockoff I've ever seen. And I mean that in a good way. Really good food, very clean and very spacious.

Every time we go, we have the best time. The food is great and the customer service is out of this world. I have been coming here for 3 years. And will continue to go. My mother has been coming here for 10 years. She adores the people that work there.

I really liked how clean everything was and how friendly the staff was. Food was good and the prices were cheap. I was especially impressed with how clean the bathroom was.
